“Vreau și eu la mare!” (I want to see the sea too!)

“Vreau și eu la mare!” is the Fiți Buni Association’s free camp for children from families without means in Olt and Dolj: six days and five nights by the sea, with lodging, recreational and educational activities. In 2026 it reached its eleventh edition; since 2023, Romanian children from the Timok Valley in Bulgaria come too.

“Places are given on social criteria, with special attention to children who have never been to a camp or to the sea.” In past editions the children went to amusement and water parks, to Imaginaria, the dolphinarium and the aquarium, to history museums and to the thermal baths at Techirghiol.

“For us, this camp is not just a few days at the seaside. It is the chance to give children experiences their families might not have been able to afford,” says Father Ion Iagăru.
